![]() ![]() ![]() The plot is amazing - just a classic story about family, revenge, justice and power (which eventually expands to something more.epic?) Nothing feels overstretched or added just in sake of prolonging the game time. The voiceacting and the italian accent is top notch - the characters feel alive and relatable. From the moment the first cut scene kicked in I knew the next 30 hours are going to be interesting - the facial animation and the overall acting was so good, duuude, I can only imagine how mindblowing it looked back in 2009. As I found out later - Assassin's Creed 2 was the reason. What convinced me to give the franchise a second try was: 1) my friend assuring me to not even trying to give AC1 a shot because of how bad it is in comparison to others 2) AC2 has a "must-play" badge on metacritic so it had to be worth the try 3) I still wanted to understand what made AC franchise so popular and successful - there should be a reason. I will return back to AC franchise 2 months later. Anyway, after playing AC1 for about 6 hours I decide to give it up and move on to something else. What I was pleasantly surprised with is this whole going-to-your-ancestors-memory thing - I wonder why the fact that in AC you aren't just an assassin living in different time periods of the past but also are an ordinary man living in present time through memories of whose you have access to all the assassins from the past because they were his ancestors has been so carefully hidden from me - I don't know about you but for me that is quite interesting. disappointed? The animation felt sluggish, the controls were messed up, the whole gameplay simply didn't feel "right". Of course I decided to start from the original AC game and was.
